Adam and I

Adam & I are Adam & Andrea Melia, a compellingly fresh young duo from Nashville, TN. Capturing the unique energy of current americana styles, while giving a joyful nod to the sounds of the 50’s and 60’s, Adam & Imake a music all their own. The duo formed in 2011 and started releasing music for free via NoiseTrade.

In Fall of 2013, Adam & I recorded their first full-length album – Adam & I– which released on February 11, 2014. John Apice of No Depression called the self-titled album a “simple, stripped down old-fashioned inspired folk journey brought up to date — superbly and with discreet panache.”  The album features singles We Have Love, If I’m Taken, and Honey I’ll Take the Fall for Loving You. No Country for New Nashville’s Kurtis Dickerson reviewed We Have Love as “a prime example of the light delight that comes from the trust in one’s companion in the face of despair” and described their live performance as “reminiscent of the playful banter and clever song-weaving of The Civil Wars.”  American Songwriter exclusively premiered the music video for If I’m Taken in July 2014, with Music News Nashville calling the track “emotionally powerful.” July also saw the duo release a new (non-album) single, These Days Sunshine which was featured as “New and Notable” on NoiseTrade.

Adam & I spent most of 2014 on their Our House Has Wheels Tour, playing 60 shows throughout the United States. The duo has plans to hit the road again in February 2015 before heading back into the studio to record the follow-up to their self-titled release, due Summer 2015. Discover and enjoy their music at www.adamandimakemusic.com
